Privacy Policy
Privacy policy
Thank you for visiting our website. In the following, we would like to inform you about the handling of your data in accordance with Art. 13 of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Responsible
The person responsible for the data collection and processing described below is the office named in the impressum (legal disclosure).
Usage data
In order to improve the quality of our website, we store data on individual access to our site for statistical purposes. This data record consists of
- the page from which the file was requested
- the name of the file,
- the date and time of the request,
- the amount of data transferred,
- the access status (file transferred, file not found),
- the description of the type of web browser used,
- the IP address of the requesting computer, which is shortened so that a personal reference can no longer be established.
The protocol data mentioned above is only stored anonymously.
Data security
In order to protect your data from unwanted access as comprehensively as possible, we take technical and organisational measures. We use an encryption procedure on our pages. Your data is transferred from your computer to our server and vice versa via the Internet using TLS encryption. You can recognise this by the fact that the lock symbol in the status bar of your browser is closed and the address line begins with https://.
Cookies
We use cookies on our websites. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device and can be read. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session. Cookies can contain data that make it possible to recognise the device used. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information on certain settings that cannot be related to a specific person.
We use session cookies on our websites. The processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and in the interest of optimising the user experience. You can also participate in voting on our website. Here, a session cookie is also used to prevent multiple voting.
You can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You can also delete cookies at any time via the corresponding browser setting and prevent the setting of new cookies. Please note that our websites may then not be displayed optimally and some functions may no longer be technically available.
We also use permanent cookies on our websites. You will find more information on this in the next paragraph on Google Analytics.
Google Analytics
We create pseudonymous usage profiles with the help of Google Analytics in order to tailor our website to your needs. Google Analytics uses permanent cookies that are stored on your terminal device and can be read by us. In this way, we are able to recognise returning visitors and count them as such. The data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR or § 15 para. 3 TMG (German Telemedia Act) and in the interest of finding out how often our websites have been accessed by different users.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, as we have activated IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address will be transferred to a Google server in the USA and only shortened there. An adequate level of data protection exists according to Art. 45 (1) GDPR through Google's participation in the Privacy Shield. We have also concluded a contract with Google Inc. (USA) for order processing. Accordingly, Google will use all information strictly for the purpose of evaluating the use of our website for us and compiling reports on our website activity.
You can object to processing by Google Analytics at any time. Please use one of the following options to do so:
- You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
- In addition, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link.
- You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which permanently prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website:

Google reCaptcha
At several points you have the option of contacting us via online form. In order to protect the corresponding forms from unauthorised use, we use Google reCAPTCHA. Calling up this page leads to content being reloaded by Google. In this context, Google also receives your IP address, which is technically required to retrieve the content. We have no influence on the further processing by Google.
Please note that emails are usually transmitted unencrypted. This applies both to emails that you send to us and to our replies to you. If you wish to avoid the risks of unencrypted transmission, please contact us by telephone or by post. For legal reasons, emails are stored for six years and then deleted.
Contact form and online demo
To use our contact form provided under "Contact", we need your name, your message (including subject and topic) and your email address. To use our contact form provided as part of the demo request, we need your name, your company, your email address and your message. You can provide further details, but you do not have to.
The legal basis for the processing is in each case Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Your data will only be processed to respond to your request and deleted as soon as it is no longer required and there are no legal retention obligations to the contrary.
If you wish to object to the processing of your data transmitted via contact form, please contact the email address stated in the impressum.
Google Maps
On some of our pages you will find an overview of our location. In this context, we use Google Maps. Calling up these pages leads to Google content being reloaded. In this context, Google also receives your IP address, which is technically required to retrieve the content. We have no influence on the further processing by Google.
Any consent you may have given to display Google Maps will be stored in a cookie ("googlemaps_cookie"). When the cookie is deleted, Google Maps is no longer displayed.
Data transfer to third parties
We treat your personal data confidentially and do not transfer it to unauthorised third parties.
Order processing
In the course of operating this website and the associated processes, we may be assisted by other service providers (e.g. for hosting and web development). These service providers are strictly bound by instructions and contractually obligated to us in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR.
Your rights as a user
When processing your personal data, the GDPR grants you certain rights as a website user:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed; if this is the case, you have the right to be informed about this personal data and to the information listed in detail in Art. 15 GDPR.
- Right to rectification and erasure (Art. 16 and 17 GDPR): You have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and, where applicable, the completion of incomplete personal data without undue delay.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You have the right to request the restriction of processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 18 GDPR applies, e.g. if you have objected to the processing, for the duration of any review. You also have the right to request that personal data concerning you be deleted without delay if one of the reasons listed in detail in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer needed for the purposes pursued.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): In certain cases, which are listed in detail in Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer of this data to a third party.
- Right to object (Art. 21 DSGVO): If data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) (data processing for the protection of legitimate interests), you have the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint
Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of data concerning you violates data protection provisions. The right to lodge a complaint may in particular be asserted before a supervisory authority in the member state of your place of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
